Updated styling, lots of standard technology, excellent fuel economy, and a comprehensive suite of safety features make this year's Kia Optima a top pick in the mid-size sedan category. Kia offers the 2019 Optima with a choice of three different trim-dependent engines, with options of 7-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission or 6-Speed Automatic.

Every Optima trim comes with plenty of tech. Kia's UVO3 infotainment system, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth® connectivity all come standard. Safety technology features include: Electronic Stability Control, Hill Assist Control, Internal Emergency Trunk Release, and rear child safety door locks.

Kia keeps styling simple for the 2019 Optima. All four available trims come with black cloth or leather upholstery and a choice of seven exterior colors. The Optima rivals the luxury imports when it comes to standard comfort and convenience. Most trims come with Drive Mode Select and Smart Key with Push-Button Start and vehicle Immobilizer.

Last year's 2018 Optima won an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ award when equipped with optional front crash prevention and LED headlights for models built after January 2018. Kia Motors also holds the J.D. Power Award as the "Highest Ranked Mass Market Brand in Initial Quality" for the last four years in a row.
